Blue Blood 03:44
Look at me sleeping, high up on your shelf. Cough cause this dust chokes, when I’m talking to myself. With a face like a blow up doll, deflating on command. It’s just my Blue Blood, I’m the man I’m the man I’m the man. Said yeah I’m the man. Yes I am. And it’s a standoff, here at the traffic lights. Movie adaptation sells a million, hope they cast me right. And baby I think tonight, I’ll get to work on the shrine. Never been a better way to waste my god given time. You waste my time. And it’s all mine. Feelin fine, this state of mind’s gonna make me wise. Daydream state, show up late, hey nobody minds. These visions I see, are all make believe, lord they make me smile. Feeling dwarfed by the sun. Great God. Would you help me turn into another man? Show yourself in the plan? Help me turn into another man, said I’ll show you show you show you.

The word spills out, and the street’s full of talk. Cause my flour’s rising, to the tick of a clock. Or to the beat or a thousand drummers, beating out of time. Out of sync with what I see, out of sync with my mind. And I’ve been further away, When it’s struck closer the bone. If lazy flowers won’t bend to wreath, To help make my crown, Then I’ll leave em alone. And I’m alone. You know I am, and I’m proud to say. This son of Abraham, is that much a better man, for it. Much is said, of a change in times. But I just sleep instead, I just dream instead. Pay no mind.

In the nature of my nurture, Another television murder. This week’s ending, Was hard to swallow. But I cling to hope, For the weeks to follow. And what’s to follow, Another six months grind. Then I’ll be partin, Or else loosin my mind. It’s so easy, avoiding the pledge. If I don’t tell so many lies. Talking to myself, once again. Much to my own surprise. Well don’t dig the truth, You’ll just get buried. What seems like a myth now’s, Gonna be real heavy. When the sea parts, And parts us with it. I’ll stay true yeh, An ideal we built. So come all ye faithful, With your book in your hand. Talking about observations, You don’t understand. Looking for a reason, To throw the book at me. You cannot change, You cannot see. Well the first was him, The second for you. My heart bleeds for him, But goes cold on you. Maybe I’m a Judas, But there’s silver in my cloud Abandon my defence, I’m stepping out.

Sister 03:53
Put a Sister in a pair of boots, And she be looking just fine. Walking down Grafton Street, About ten past nine. When a wolf whistles from the side of your view that’s the problem, calling at you and I need a new pack, let’s start one just like that But I been there yeh I been there before, When I was skatin across the marble floors And in a dream, a dream I saw A tender judgement from a higher law. And you could do it, you do it too Your lust, won’t control you And beauty, a beautiful thing But your sex, still ain’t cheap And ain’t that, a sad fact? To rock a line, so out of whack Well ain’t that, a sad fact? I wouldn’t stop you, if you wanted to. Put a sister in a pair of boots, She be looking just fine. Walking down Grafton street Bout ten past nine. A wolf whistle from the side of ya view That’s the problem, the problem is you Lord I need a new belief, Lord I need a new belief And ain’t that, a sad fact? To rock a line, so out of whack Well ain’t that, a sad fact? I wouldn’t stop you, if you wanted to.

Well a dreamer lives forever, Neath the setting eye of the sun. But the man, who embeds his head in reality He don’t got no one. Well a lover never grows old, I’ve heard it said by so many. But of love and time, to tell truth I don’t mind, I got plenty. (I got plenty) I don’t mind you getting high, It’s just the comedown that hurts. With your head in the sky, a vacant look in your eye. You dreamed a dream of sorts. When Monday treats me so cold. Well my mind’s been a reachin and a reachin, For a peace I can’t obtain. And I’ve heard it called a restless fever, But a fever just ain’t pain. And I’m told that I can’t complain, But I’m still sweating just the same. I don’t mind you getting high, It’s just the comedown that hurts. With your head in the sky, a vacant look in your eye. You dreamed a dream of sorts. When Monday treats me so cold. Well a dreamer lives forever, Neath the setting eye of the sun. But the man, said the man the man, Don’t got no one Don’t have no fun, Lord he ain’t ever even young.
